The traditional format of this concert displays the towering presence of Brahms, complimented by his French contemporary, the organist Alexandre Guilmant. Two of Brahms’s most popular works frame a rarely heard organ ‘concerto’ which combines the power of a symphony orchestra with that of a grand organ. It is marvellous to invite Rob Goodrich to display his virtuosity with us again.
