Norfolk Young Musician of the Year, 

Archie Bonham

will be presenting a programme including Mozart, Schubert, Rachmaninoff, Debussy and Prokofiev.

Archie Bonham is a first-year undergraduate reading Music at the University of York as a first study pianist. He also plays harpsichord, sings in and is a repetiteur of the University Choir, and sings baritone in the Animas choir. He is also Secretary of the University of York Music Society. He was a pupil at Alderman Peel High School in Wells-Next-The-Sea, and then at Fakenham Sixth Form, where he achieved his Grade 8 classical piano with distinction in 2015. He is preparing for his ABRSM Diploma in Piano Performance under the tuition of Christopher Green-Armytage in Norfolk, and Jakob Fichert in York. In 2017, he organised, event ran and performed the first movement of Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto in an ‘Evening of Rachmaninoff’ – raising over £1000 for a new piano at Alderman Peel. He is also a regular and recommended events and wedding pianist for the Holkham Estate. Most recently, he was awarded first prize in the Norfolk Young Musician 2018 competition, and is delighted to be giving a recital for the Wymondham Music Festival.
